A few new utilities available today! abquery lets you search your address book by name. deviceinfo uses your ioregistry to return information about your device, including UDID. ip-print shows your current ip address. launch will run applications. openURL does exactly what the name suggest, including tel:// addresses. urlclip creates regular and tel clips on the springboard. Enjoy!

The latest member of the Erica Utilities is doSafari. It takes one argument, the URL, and opens it in Safari. This utility is the command-line equivalent of OpenURL. Erica Utilities are now updated to 0.49.

Open URL allows you to create a shortcut link on SpringBoard that leads to your webpage (or other URL) of choice. You’ll find instructions on how to do this over at the Open URL page. You can link to a normal webpage like http://www.google.com or go crazy and link to special iTouch/iPhone-enabled protocol handlers like itms:// or mailto://.
