However when I select some other file type such as .avi video files, AirFlick gives the following error message: Cannot transcode file. mediastreamsegmenter not found. An article I read online mentioned that AirFlick isn’t limited to just Apple TV-compatible files and if one has a newer version of VLC installed, AirFlick will use it to transcode the video into something that the ATV can play.
