Hi Eric,

It's a bit confusing to know what's the "official" way of giving feedback. I had to look for a blog news on "To Do", register and post this comment. I guess there is a better way, isn't it?

Anyway, I wanted to congratulate you for your work on "To Do". It's one of the apps I use the most on my iPhone and I think it's just what I need. More feature would be unnecessary.

That's why my request is not about adding something: in fact, I think there are two main things that annoy me when I use it:
- the default "to do" text is just useless. I would never start my todo item with "to do" anyway! So, my first request is: leave the default text to blank so I would never have to delete the text first anymore :-)
- the second problem might be more subject to discussion but usualy when I add an item, it will be on top of my priority or almost. I very rarely add an item and say "let's put it at the end, I'll do that later". So my second request is: choose first position as default for new item, not last. Of course this might be an option but for me, it's more 80% at the top than at the bottom...
If you think these changes make sense, I guess they are little work.

I hope you are reading this comments. Again, your app is just great. These two changes would make it my favorite ;-)

Thanks!

Forgot a couple more things:

8. Auto-correct functionality would be great

9. Hyperlinking emails and phone numbers would be great---such that when they are selected, the email app launches to create a new message or the phone number is dialed.

Erica, thanks for the best/simplest To Do app currently available. A few thoughts on improving it:

1. I echo the previous comments that the vertical space occupied by each line could be smaller (to allow viewing of more items at once)

2. When adding an item, it would be nice not to have to 'x' out the default 'To Do' text each time. Just a blank would be great

3. It would also be nice to be able to include the notes field when initially adding an item (currently the item must be added and then the note added in a separate step)

4. Would be great to allow assignment of a due date and then sorting by due date...but still leaving the ability to have no due date on items.

5. In the spirit of keeping it simple, I don't think a 'Priority' level is necessary (things either need to get done or they don't and being able to sort by date should accomplish most prioritization)

6. Love the badge!

7. A checkbox, while not practically necessary, does add some psychological benefit for a 'To Do' app---great feeling to check something off. Including one would also allow for things to be checked off but not yet deleted.

Keep up the great work!

I second dewshi's (August 1st) comment: "Love the simplicity of To Do, would hate to see it get cluttered." The free YouNotes app takes photo and recording notes, so let's leave "to Do" just for... to do's. One improvement that won't clutter: bigger typeface (or option for bigger typeface) in the "Item Notes" section.
Congrats on the simple elegance of it all.

I love how easy it is to use. I've tried lots of them and this is my favorite.
I would like to see the lines be closer together taking less vertical space.

Keep up the good work.

Love the simplicity of To Do, would hate to see it get cluttered. But would love to see a check box to mark item completed with one tap in To Do 2.

Unfortunately, I cannot think of any way to do reminders and stay within the SDK limitations. Thoughts?
