Now that’s exciting…love what you are doing, glad that you’re going to be kept officially in the loop. Congrats, hope it leads to big things for you.

I have one question…i have trouble getting many of your apps to work for me, i install using installer, am running 1.1.4 (iphone) and in a lot of cases (xlauncher for one) the app opens, then closes again.

I know others are being successful with your apps, i worry that i’m doing something wrong.

Congratulations!!! That is sweet. Your definitely deserving of such an honor.

Me too! But I will be damned if I can keep the TX of the SDK flowing….

Congrats Erica, few people deserve that as much as you within the community! I am working on a way to allow the iPhone UI to be disabled in the event it is stollen and possibly using the system to prompt the location updates based on the stollen status…

Congrats! I cannot wait to see what amazing things you pump out of that and the half ass crap that full development houses blow out. I fully support you.

Dang… I was probably the first filing the missings holes in my profile on ADC after they took off the “we’ll be back” post-it to get the thing downloaded… and all I get now after the mail with the d/l link are server disconnections :-/ Akamai we need you :-)

Anyways, I’m sure Erica will bring up apps nobody would have ever thought of :-)

Awww… gotta wait a few days to get my new MacBook anyways… it’s a Leopard only SDK, and I’m not leopardized yet :-)

cool, maybe Listen.app will come back… :o)

With your talent, you should go for a piece of the 100m iFund and blow ‘em all away with your apps. :-)

Now good luck getting the SDK with all this server rape they are receiving. Let me know if you still can’t get a copy I am currently downloading it on my dedicated server and it should be done shortly.

Congrats - glad to hear it.

Will do Ryan :-)

I was hitting an unresolvable host “dswebauth.corp.apple.com” during a while too, replaced it by daw.appl.com and now I’m on the “We are processing your request. Please wait a few moments then refresh this page” page.

Anyways, I’m not getting my Leopardized macbook before next week :) should be calmed down at that time.

Thx :)

Congrats on getting your SDK badge!

Erica, I wonder if you’d comment for us.

(I had a bricked phone til I updated by accident — clicked on the itunes “update” while trying to access other tools and I’ve been “pure” for a few weeks)

My questions:

1. When do you think we’ll see the first tools?
2. will any of them be free or will we need to pay for them via itunes?
3. will there be something like an ‘installer.app’ that we get via itunes THEN can use it like we have been doing?

Tell us how you think it will go.. maybe I need to downgrade back to 1.1.1 and brick myself back up?

Thanks!

Hi Erica,

I wish you good luck with the iPhone SDK book. I have OReilly Safari Library, and will see your shortcut added as soon as Addison Wesley publishes it. I look forward to checking it out.

Anyhow, I downloaded and installed the SDK last night. I have a jailbroken 1.1.4 (Ziphone “Do it all” after I restored 1.1.4 to my iPhone, which originally was a 1.1.1 OTB, jailbroken back in November, then upgraded to 1.1.3 with Nate True’s jailbreak)

Anyhow, I can’t get Xcode to send apps to my iPhone. It says it isn’t activated with iTunes. But iTunes recognizes the phone just fine, Ziphone seems to have activated, jailbroken and unlocked it just fine.

Since you are one of the few devs that have a “real” iTunes activated iPhone, maybe you can help us with Ziphone activated iPhones?
Perhaps we can collaborate to figure out why Xcode thinks my iPhone isn’t activated. Contact me (my email address is in my user profile, right?) if you need any other info I can provide.

Its’ not you or your phone. It’s Apple. Simulator-only for now.

Please can you confirm that you have received your certificates that enable you to download your application to the device from XCode, as I’ve yet to meet anyone that has.
