Why I don’t write for 1.0.2 any more

Here’s the bottom line: I don’t have a 1.0.2 iPhone. To make software work right on early units, it has to be compiled linking to 1.0.2 frameworks and tested on 1.0.2 machines. I don’t have the units. I don’t have the time. This is a hobby not a business. I own one (1) iPhone. It’s running 1.1.2. If for some reason many (and I mean *many*) thousands of dollars and several extra testing units were to miraculously show up, the decision might change. But it won’t. And I can’t. And I’m sorry. :(

Well damn. I suppose I’ll have to update to 1.1.1 or better then. The only reason I haven’t is because I’m a bit uneasy about fixing something that isn’t broken. Perhaps you should incorporate PayPal donations on your website so that you might be able to buy a 1.0.2 iPhone on eBay. Or perhaps us 1.0.2 users will be motivated enough by amazing software to upgrade.. ;\

yeah - update - the trail from 1.0.2 is very traveled thesedays and plenty of very good step-by-step guides to help you along….

P.S. Upgraded from 1.0.2 -> 1.1.1 -> 1.1.2 is simple and very worth it. I recommend anyone on the fence take the plunge and join the rest of us!

Hi erica, this is little Offtopic, but you can make please some app or update for iPhone Safari for reading windows-1257 encoding? i Live in Latvia and many pages i connot read with safari, because we hawe special characters, lika ? ? š ? ? ? ž ? ? - and so on…

Erica, i can send you the .amr files…still not working…if it can help solve my problem.
I really dont know what happen to my Iphone…and Audio recognition (listen) too is not working…
It’s not able to produce amr files from mic (and earphones) it seems….What can i do?
(Erica, i still have problems with VNotes…silence or low weird sounds are played back. I hope it’s not a problem with Iphone mic…but it works well during phone calls.
Help pls?…i need that application on my Iphone 1.1.1
Any ideas for that mic problem evenctually?)
Need answer.
