Minimum required firmware now upgraded to 1.1.3

Sorry folks but once again, I need to announce that development is now limited to 1.1.3. I’m not a commercial endeavor and I cannot support older firmware especially when my time doing iPhone development is what I can scrape away from being a mom. There are now sufficient jailbreak resources for both the iPod touch and iPhone that makes it practical for me to start issuing my software as 1.1.3 releases. The upgrade path is a bumpy one. I had to change the way some of the programs work since apps now run as user “mobile” instead of root. This makes a lot of my software not backwards compatible and cuts out anyone still running 1.1.2 or earlier.

Makes perfect since to me. Speaking of apps that need 1.1.3 loving; I can’t get picSnap to work. Hope i am missing something simple. Any suggestions?
Thanks again for you iPhone support. We all really enjoy what you do.

Kid comes first. But when you get the chance what is the tapp command that reveals how much space I have left for apps? Thanks.

picSnap shoots a picture from the camera. It takes one argument, the name of the file to save to. It seems to work fine on my 113 iPhone.

i’ve just unlocked and jailbroken my 1.1.2 phone and I’m a little gunshy to go to 1.1.3 until there are more “idiot proof” proven methods available for people like me. Is there any way to get the 1.1.2 versionn of voicenotes or am i outta luck??
cheers and thanks for all your hard work, it really is appreciated!

Same problem as tessabourdon, i just restored my iphone to 1.1.2 after unsuccesfully trying to update to 1.1.3 and want to install ToDo and MIM, i tried downloading the appz from your site and add them via Independence but i just get a blank screen, I think it has something to do with permissions, is there a workaround for this or is this possible to download ToDo and MIM from installer, i dont need support, i just need to be able to download the previous versions.
Thank you very much in anticipation

Well I have spent about 4 days straight (VAC) days trying to update to 1.1.3 I can get to 1.1.3 with no no no problems and have it jailbroken. I bought the phone from AT&T and still run it on AT&T. But when I update to 1.1.3 and try and sync it gives me an error that says I have to take the phone to apple. And will not sync. I have tried the sync fix and it still does the same. I dont understand why we cant get a 100% fix for 1.1.3 if all the programs are being made now for 1.1.3. Can anyone help. my email is pdconner@comcast.net can you email me if you have any news

I second the plea for keeping the voicenotes for FW 1.1.2 available through installer. I’m a bit weary about upgrading to 1.1.3. Besides that with all the SW that’s available there’s actually no need to upgrade to 1.1.3. I’ve got all the SW I want / need put on m Iphone. The only function I’m missing is a simple voice recorder. I’s be happy if I could just download the FW 1.1.2. version if that works as a simple voice recorder. No problems with lack of support or the development issues. I’m just looking for the basic function.
BTW Thank you for your effort. You (and many other dedicated developers) make having and using an iPhone worthwhile.
Kind regrads,
Nico

Sorry update to my above statement.. I cant get to 1.1.2 with no problem and jail break it like ordering a pizza. But again I tried last night for 5 hours and no luck getting to 1.1.3…. So why all the updating software to 1.1.3 when as far as I can read only about 10% of the people can get to 1.1.3… please support us that are stuck at 1.1.2 jailbroken becuase there isnt a jailbreak out there that can take us to 1.1.3… Also We cant even send you email with out getting back a generic responce.. I Was going to donate but getting back a generic responce from an email is cold and I hate to donate becuase you dont even know where or who or what ever it was for. I would love to donate if you could take you time away from updating software that works great on 1.1.2 and help me and others to get to 1.1.3 and then go back to 1.1.3 software. I woudl rather have 10 softwares that work on 1.1.3 and a sure way to get to 1.1.3 then have 50 programs on 1.1.3 and no one be able to get to 1.1.3 ya know. I would suggest that anyone trying to get to 1.1.3 wait.. I am and have been trying for a week or so now (since I am not working right now) to get to 1.1.3 and no luck.. enjoy 1.1.2. I will if you want keep you posted on anything I can find on my website www.pdconner.com on the blog.. but so far I posted one way to get to it and it failed when you try and sync it says take your phone to apple.. lol.. so I am back at 1.1.2 trying other ways.. but there arent that many ways out there.
