Version 0.46 fixes a small bug with snap. You can now snap to folders other than the current directory, e.g. snap ~/foo creates /var/root/foo.png.

So I downloaded your Utilities which is great but I had a question, I ran the xwidg command which it created /Widgets and linked it to my var/root/Apps but when I download something from installer it still goes on the 2nd partition and not the main, am I missing something? sorry for the dumb question

Installer only knows about installing into /Applications, which is a shame because you run out of space so quickly.

I just do a cp -r into /var/root/Applications and trash the one that Installer put in. I know that this is semi-evil because I don’t update Installers.plist. So then I do an uninstall with Installer but I still have my copy.

Hopefully Installer will fix things in an upcoming release.

I’m no guru, but I know how to manipulate my unix environment for the most part… but I can’t seem to figure out what shell is currently active (my default shell).

# env | grep SHELL
SHELL=/bin/sh

… that said … if I issue the command: “chsh”

# chsh
zsh: command not found: chsh

I tried a shotgun approach by adding /var/root/bin to multiple custom login files:
.bashrc
.cshrc
.zshrc

Still, no luck. My path at login is still always:

PATH=/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin

But t’s no problem to do manually, just inconvenient.

export PATH=$PATH:/var/root/bin

Any suggestions?

Edit master.passwd for your chosen shell (mine is tcsh). Then add /etc/shells with all legal shells.
Log out. Log in. Your .tcshr (orwhatever) then runs

Hi erica!

I have a request for you… if i can ask.. :)

Is it possible to have an app, for the iPhone for sound balance adjustment?? like left and right??

Let me explain… my iphone has a tiny problem… the right side of the earphone, has the volume more low then the left side… it’s not the headphone, i already tested others. And i don’t know if it is a hardware or a software problem… because, he work’s fine for a while, and then the problem return.

And see my drama: I cannot exchange my iphone, because i live in Brazil, and my iphone is unlocked.. even if i restore my iphone to a “original” state, my next trip to US, is not happening before August 08.

So i’m kind stuck here…

Can you help? give some light?

My mail: yelsew@gmail.com

Thank You!

Re: Setting Path

I just edit /etc/profile to change the path.

I haven’t worked on any of the audio playback issues. I just use the Celestial frameworks, which works like QuickTime. Speaker-balance is kind of out of this area.

you should consider create an application that allows, via wifi, iphone to iphone media exchanges. It will really complement your application suit.

great work, thanks !

Something that really bugs me with the iphone is the lack of audio balance adjustment. I have done some damage to one of my eardrum and cannot hear as well on one side. I would like to be able to adjust the sound…any chance of having an app to do this or an extra setting in the iphone or sound section of the settings? It would be greatly appreciated, and not only by me, I’m sure!
Thank you
