Snap2album updated

Erica Sadun | 2:11 pm | October 17, 2007 | Utilities, Software, iPhone

I have updated snap2album. This the application that snaps your screen and saves it to your onboard iPhone DCIM folder just as if you’d snapped it with your camera. It is in both the Erica Utilities and Utils for iPhone for now until I figure out touch compatibility. The new version offers better fidelity and doesn’t rely on jpg compression routines.

Hello, how does Snap2album works?

I’ve downloaded the Utilities an now?

You must run it from the Unix command line on an iPhone. It takes no arguments and sends a copy of the screen shot to the ~/DCIM folder

Is it possible to add delay arguments to this? I’d like to tell it “wait 5 seconds before snapping” so to speak :P

Thanks for all your contributions!

Use the bsd sleep command.

sleep 5; ./snap2album

Thank you for your help Erica, I appreciate it. :)

Unfortunately, I believe this pet project of mine is out of my grasp of Bash, which is what I was trying to do with your utility. I just wanted to add a simple front end to Snap2Album for people who have an aversion to using Dock and the Terminal like myself.

Whenever invoked, I cannot press the homescreen to jump back to the Springboard to set up my shot, rather I’m just given screenshots of my splash screen:

If you’d like to use my graphics for your own front end to Snap2Album, please feel free to contact me for the files.

Thanks again, hopefully I’ll figure something out
